Splendor simulates the gem trading journey of Renaissance merchants with simple but extremely balanced gameplay. There are only 3 simple actions: "Pick up gems" - "Pin cards" and "Change gem cards". You have to think about which gem cards to choose because the number of gems is not much and sometimes even the opponent's picture is lost.

The highlight and much to be talked about is the gameplay of this game. During a turn you have 2 basic choices, 1) get 3 orbs of the same color or 2 from the banker 2) buy one of the cards available on the table by paying the same amount (jewels) response. You put the purchase cards in front, these cards have a gem in the upper right corner, later you can be supported when buying other cards. For example, if you have 2 red and 1 white card in front of you, the next time you buy a card worth 2 red and 2 white, then you only need to pay 1 white to the bank. If a card has a number in the upper left corner, you get its winning point. The first player to reach 15 points wins.
One weakness of Splendor is its low interactivity. This is a game about racing to the point of victory, with other players as a motivation for each other to achieve that goal. Of course, if you're smart you can watch other players, and take the cards they want to make it difficult for them. But with flexibility, that player can quickly look for alternatives. However, low interactivity is acceptable in strategy games like Splendor.
For those of you who love mind games or simply want to have a good time with friends, Splendor will be the first choice for you.
